This guide will offer you resources, information and advice, that will help you during preparation for your HSC. It may assist both students and teachers but please note that it is not intended to replace advice from your school.

HSC 2021 – Provided by the SLNSW. You’ll find information and featured content for each of your subjects; help online and onsite; resources you can use at home, and research guides that bring together resources relevant to particular subjects.

For teachers, there are learning activities, resources and workshops for your HSC program.

HSC help – Provided by the NSW Dept of Education. The NSW Higher School Certificate (HSC) is an important milestone in your child’s life as it signals the formal revision and completion of their secondary education. As it’s an important event, we know you and your child will be looking for advice and information to help manage expectations and any anxieties.

HSC help for parents and carers – Provided by the NSW Dept of Education. Students face a range of pressures during the HSC (Higher School Certificate) years in addition to their final exams, but parents and carers can provide valuable support. Here’s how.

HSC Help Webinars – Provided by The University of Newcastle. In an effort to support HSC students with all of the difficulties and disruptions that have taken place in 2020, the University has partnered with InspirationED to deliver free HSC webinars for students.

These webinars will provide students with an opportunity to connect with experienced teachers and HSC exam markers to cover a range of curriculum areas. Students will gain advice on how to prepare effectively in their respective subjects and will be provided with an overview of the skills and strategies proven for success in their HSC year.

HSC Study Lab – HSC Study Lab was created at Macquarie University to support students in Years 11 and 12. Our courses are based on the NSW syllabus and delivered by expert teachers. We can help with understanding difficult concepts, preparing for assessments, homework, and of course exam revision.

We currently offer the following subjects:

Year 11 and Year 12 Biology

Year 11 Business Studies

Year 11 and Year 12 Chemistry

Year 11 and Year 12 Physics

HSC Subject Support Series – Provided by the University of Wollongong. With over 30 FREE subject-specific online sessions, the HSC Subject Support Series is designed to help students improve their knowledge and understanding of key subject content and discover what HSC exam markers and assessors are looking for. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and receive tips and strategies directly from education professionals with years of experience.

HSC Survival Guide – Provide by Western Sydney University. At Western we recognise how difficult this time can be, so we have put together a HSC Survival Kit to help you along the way. We encourage you to continue working hard to reach your goals and unlimited potential. We hope to see you at Western next year!
