As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to evolve, Weddin Shire Council would like to reassure the community that they are closely monitoring the situation.
Therefore, the Council services in the Community Hub such as the Visitor Information Centre, Grenfell Art Gallery, Grenfell Public Library and Grenfell Internet Centre are temporarily CLOSED for face-to-face customer service for two weeks.
The evolving situation will be monitored and assessed in regard to reopening in August.
I will be contactable by telephone and email; however, the Library is now closed for over-the-counter assistance until further notice.
This is a challenging time for us all, we apologise for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding and patience as we work together to reduce the risk of the spread of COVID-19.
As we did last year during April, and May I will be offering the Click and Collect/Delivery service.
You must already be a library member to access either of these services. Please follow the below instructions on how to access.

Online resources are available
As part of your membership, you have free access to BorrowBox and indyreads for eAudiobooks and eBooks. This gives you a limit of 4 titles of each eAudio and eBooks at one time. You will need your membership number and date of birth (ddmmyy) to log into the free app. This is the same as logging into the library catalogue. There are titles for everyone.
Story Box is free as part of your membership as well. Story Box Library provides a vibrant, interactive experience via a diverse range of everyday storytellers – actors, comedians, sports people, musicians, artists, authors, children – with varying accents and from different cultures, each sharing past and present book titles. The result is meaningful, entertaining readings that focus on both teller and tale. This is a streaming service so there are no limits to the number of titles you can listen to. You will be asked for your membership number only. No password required.
For school projects you have access to several online resources including the State and National Libraries plus World Book Encyclopaedia via the Grenfell Library website. These are all free of charge and can be used from home.
