Tomorrow Thursday 2 July the library (entire community hub) will be closed until 3pm due to a network outage. This will include phone, internet and library system. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Thank you to everyone who has followed the new restrictions and instructions to allow us to be open.
Phase 2 of the library reopening begins on Tuesday 30 June with more hours being added and a single public computer being available for quick printouts only.
For computer access this is for a quick print out only. No sitting watching videos, scrolling through social media or any researching. Single person only at the computer and you will be required to clean the surface down upon completion.

School holiday activities
School holidays are approaching us again from Monday 6 July. These holidays will be different in that there will not be any activities held within the library. I am preparing take home activities for the kids to keep them occupied so keep an eye for these from Tuesday 7 July. I look forward to seeing the results.
Book reviewers for Book Week titles
With the school holidays approaching and Book Week delayed until October this year we have lots of time to read and review this year’s shortlisted titles. As a school holiday activity, I will allow kids to borrow and read these titles if they review them for us all. This can be in the form of a written, picture, or video review. Titles will be available in all categories from Tuesday 7 July. I look forward to seeing your imagination come alive.
New Facebook group: What are you reading?
2020 has changed the way we live our lives, but our love of reading and our communities is still going strong. I would love to learn about what you are reading, be it an old favourite, a new discovery, eBook, audiobook, whatever you have access to! Share your books in a post of your own, or comment on others. There have been some great recommendations for authors and new titles. Why not join us?
New stock available
There is lots of new stock that has come available during lockdown and since reopening. So much so that there is an extra display for kids’ titles as there is no room on the normal display shelves. The kid’s titles have had a huge boost with the school holidays approaching us again.
Do you enjoy eBooks or eAudio?
You have two options for borrowing eBooks or eAudio books. BorrowBox provides you access to the most popular local and international authors. Whereas indyreads™ provides access to a statewide collection of independent Australian and international titles, classic literature, and modern award-winning titles. Both services are free as part of your membership. Further information available at https://grenfellpubliclibrary.org.au/elibrary/
