LIBRARY LINES for week beginning 6 January 2020

Welcome to 2020. I hope that everyone had a good Christmas and a peaceful New Year.

The Summer Reading Bingo challenge started last month for all kids who will be in Preschool through to Year 12 in 2020. Pop in and pick up your Bingo sheet and some books to get you reading.

This Friday there will be the first movie of 2020. Doors will open at 1.45pm and the movie will start at 2pm. The movie is The Angry birds movie 2. Other movies dates and times are listed on the Facebook page and website.

For kids aged 5 and over there are a number of board games now available for loan plus some new jigsaw puzzles.

A number of new magazine titles received this week and they include Marie Claire, Good health, Better homes & gardens, 4×4 Australia, Tech Life, Gardening Australia, Diabetic living and Organic Gardening.

Some more kids’ books are available this week and they include Foot hand elbow nose by Kiah Thomas, In the dead of the night by Arthur McBain, Top koala by Jackie French, Waltzing Matilda by Banjo Paterson, The very super bear by Nick Bland, Disgusting McGrossface by Rove McManus, Grumpycorn, Through the wormhole by Zack Zombie, The great barbie disaster by Tania Ingram, The wizards of once: knock three times by Cressida Cowell, Old hat by Emily Gravett, The naughtiest pixie and the bad pixie-trick by Ailsa Wild, Winnie-the-pooh Christmas adventure in the hundred acre wood, All I want for Christmas by Roisin Hahessy and The unlisted: sabotage by Justine Flynn.

There are new fiction titles available this week and they include Postscript by Cecelia Ahern, Bloody genius by John Sandford, The one by Kaneana May, Child’s play by Danielle Steel, The Mitford scandal by Jessica Fellowes, Black ops by Chris Ryan, Comanche prairie by Giff Cheshire, Between the winds by MM Rowan, The range shootout by Carlton Young Blood, Arkansas Smith by Jack Martin, Hang the hellion high by Stephen Hartmann, Smoke in the valley by Wes Overland, Doc Dryden, Gunslinger by Ted Rushgrove, It by Stephen King and After we fell by Anna Todd.

            Saturday 11 Jan 7.45 for an 8pm start. Movie – Ride like a girl. Free entry. Bookings preferred. FOGL will be hosting the candy bar.

            Wednesday 15 Jan 10.15am for a 10.30am start. Movie – Dora and The lost city of gold. Free entry. Bookings preferred. FOGL will be hosting the candy bar.

            Thursday 30 Jan 5pm. Summer Reading Bingo Challenge closes. All entry forms must be submitted to the library by 5pm.

            Friday 31 Jan 5pm. 1,000 Books before school program closes for first quarter presentation day. All completed forms must be submitted to the library by 5pm.
