LIBRARY LINES for week beginning 16 December 2019

It is now 1 week until Christmas and the Library will be closing for the holidays at 4pm on Christmas Eve and reopening at 10.30am on Thursday 2 January. So please come in and stock up on your reading and viewing materials beforehand.

The Summer Reading Bingo challenge is up and running for all kids who will be in Preschool through to Year 12 in 2020. Pop in between now and Christmas and pick up your Bingo sheet and some books to get you reading.

This Friday there will be a surprise Christmas movie for the kids. Doors will open at 1.45pm and the movie will start at 2pm. The movie is rated G. The January movie listings are now up on the website in the what’s on section or on the library Facebook page.

A number of new magazine titles received this week and they include Australian home beautiful, National geographic kids, Australian Woodsmith, Double helix, International traveller, Regional lifestyle, Instyle, Choice and Homespun.

Some more kids’ books are available this week and they include Ten minutes to bed : little unicorns Christmas by Rhiannon Fielding, Christmas stories by Enid Blyton, The witching hours: the dragon crown by Jack Henseleit, Pony camp diaries: Sophie and Shine by Kelly McKain, Wings of fire: the poison jungle by Tui T Sutherland, Hot dog 7: show time! There are new fiction titles available this week and they include The guardians by John Grisham, The night fire by Michael Connelly, Dead man switch by Tara Moss, 19th Christmas by James Patterson, Blue moon by Lee Child, The last paradise by Di Morrissey, Sanditon by Kate Riordan, Last woman standing by Amy Gentry, Invisible as air by Zoe Fishman and The long paddock by Alissa Callen.
