LIBRARY LINES for week beginning 9 December 2019

Congratulations to Gai Lander and Alison Rumps on becoming published authors in the newly launched book Dark Dreamings. Thank you to our Mayor Mark Liebich for launching the book and Clr Carly Brown for speaking on the night and to everyone else who attended the launch recently in the library.

It is now 2 weeks until Christmas. And there are only a few activities left for the kids to participate in. Have you booked them in?

Reminder that the Library will be closing for the holidays at 4pm on Christmas Eve and reopening at 10.30am on Thursday 2 January.

The Summer Reading Bingo challenge is up and running for all kids who will be in Preschool through to Year 12 in 2020. Pop in between now and Christmas and pick up your Bingo sheet and some books to get you reading.

This Saturday night we are showing the hit of the year Downton Abbey and for the kids there will be a surprise Christmas movie on Friday 20th. All details are below in the events section or on the library Facebook page.

A number of new magazine titles received this week and they include Small farms, Good health, Grass roots, R.M. Williams Outback, Country style and NSW fishing and boating.

Some more kids’ books are available this week and they include Whitney and Britney chicken divas by Lucinda Gifford, Celeste the giraffe loves to laugh by Celeste Barber, The dinky donkey by Craig Smith, The trials of Apollo: the tyrant’s tomb by Rick Riordan, Looking for Alaska by John Green, The pug who wanted to be a reindeer by Bella Swift, Brotherband: return of the Temujai by John Flanagan, The assassin’s blade by Sarah J Maas, Chook shed snake by Phil Cummings and Let it snow by John Green.

There are new fiction titles available this week and they include A dog’s promise by W. Bruce Cameron, After we collided by Anna Todd, Just one wish by Rachael Johns, Christmas shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella, The world that we knew by Alice Hoffman, The Christmas party by Karen Swan, The weekend by Charlotte Wood, The confession by Jessie Burton, The secret of col hill by Peter James and Many rivers to cross by Peter Robinson.
