LIBRARY LINES for week beginning 30 September 2019

Are you looking for an activity or two for the kids these holidays? The library have a few activities on starting with today Wednesday 2 October at 10am for a 10.15am start Aladdin will be showing in the cinema. Free of charge and FOGL will be hosting the candy bar for all of your needs.

Tomorrow Thursday 3 October at 11am we will be building cars and seeing how fast they can go. Limited places for kids aged 5 and over. Bookings required.

The last day of the holidays we will be running a movie marathon. A great family series, Back to the future. Times are listed below. Seat bookings are open now.

Look out in October I will be launching a new reading program for kids aged 0 to 5. The program encourages early-childhood literacy and introduces young children to the world of reading. You can register your child at any time during the year with certificate presentations four times a year to mark each target reached. The program completes for each child the week before they start kindergarten at big school.

A few new magazine titles received this week and they include 4×4 Australia, Real Living and Tech Life.

A few new fiction titles are now ready for loan and they include 13 Minute murder by James Patterson, Courtney’s war by Wilbur Smith, The greatest gift by Rachael Johns, After the end by Clare Mackintosh, The new girl by Daniel Silva, Undara by Annie Seaton, knife by Jo Nesbo and A beggar’s kingdom by Paullina Simons.

            Sunday 13 Oct Movie Marathon – Back to the future. Free Doors open for part 1 at 10.45am for a 11am start, part 2 at 1.45pm for a 2pm start and part 3 – 4.15pm for a 4.30pm start. Final movie will finish by 6.30pm. FOGL will be hosting the candy bar. Bookings can be made for your seats.
