LIBRARY LINES for week beginning 10 June 2019

Our next event is on Saturday 22 June where you can join Australian author Amanda Hampson in a writing workshop. This will be held between 10am and 1pm in the Hub. Places are limited so please ensure that you have booked and paid prior to the event. Open to all ages.

The Movies will be coming back in July. Thank you to those who voted via our Facebook page on the upcoming releases. I will announce the movies and schedule soon.

Some great new fiction titles are now available. Titles include The drover’s wife by Leah Purcell, If wishes were horses by Karly Lane, The ice house by Laura Lee Smith, The moon sister by Lucinda Riley, All the light we cannot see by Anthony Doerr, Black is the new white by Narriah Lui, A clash of kings; A dance with dragons; A feast for crows by George R R Martin and The city of brass by S A Chakraborty.

A few new magazine titles are available for loan and they include Tech life, Australian Women’s Weekly Food, Australian Home Beautiful, National Geographic Kids, Taste, International Traveller, Australian Woodsmith and another of our new titles Homespun.

A number of new talking book titles are available. Titles include Red herring by Jonothan Cullinane, Guinea pig Club by Emily Mayhew, True blue by Sasha Wasley, The sound of her voice by Nathan Blackwell, The ringmaster by Vanda Symon, Southern Sons by Annemarie Brear, Boxed by Richard Anderson and The tree of hands by Ruth Rendell.

A number of new large print titles are available, and they include Metropolis by Philip Kerr, Hard stone by James Clay, Fighting ranger by Corba Sunman, Missing in paradise by Cara Cooper, Summer at Carrick Park by Kirsty Ferry, Southern Sons by Annemarie Brear, The single ladies of Jacaranda Retirement Village by Joanna Nell, Blessing in disguise by Danielle Steel and Lost and wanted by Nell Freudenberger.

Some great new DVD titles are available for loan this week and they include Arizona, Bumblebee, Elmo the musical, Mrs Wilson, Wonder woman, South Pacific, Janet King, Jack Irish season 1, Flying the nest, Ms Fisher’s modern murder mysteries, Hold the sunset season 1, The hate u give, Instant family, Storm boy, The kid who would be king, Captain America: the first avenger, The favourite, Glass, Mary, Queen of Scots and Ant-Man.

Just a few new kids titles this week and they include Goosebumps: The horror at camp jellyjam; How I got my shrunken head; Monster blood by R L Stine, Horrible Geography: Violent volcanoes; Stormy weather; Cracking coasts by Anita Ganeri, Horrible histories: Slimy Stuarts; Barmy British Empire by Terry Deary and Ottilie Colter and the master of monsters by Rhiannon Williams.

A few new music CDs are now available for loan. Titles include Diamonds by Elton John, Aladdin soundtrack, My criminal record by Jimmy Barnes, Rocketman soundtrack and Bohemian Rhapsody soundtrack.
