LIBRARY LINES for week beginning 18 February 2019

The movies for March are A star is born on Saturday 9 March and Tully on Tuesday 12 March. For A star is born please ensure that you book your seats via the Library as we are limited to 60 people.

Aqua Life Explorers will be held on Monday 15 April for kids aged 3 to 6. Kids will be $5 each and adults $2 each. Bookings are required and can be made through the Library.

Friends of Grenfell Library have their monthly meeting on Tuesday 26 February at 6.45pm for a 7pm start. Everyone is welcome to attend. FOGL street stall will be on Friday 8 March.

If you know of anyone aged 65 and over who would like to learn how to use a computer, online banking, online shopping, sharing photos, etc please let them know that we are running free classes. Bookings are required but they are free.

The Library upgraded the computers last year and have two of the previous desktops available for purchase. They include hard drive, monitor and Windows 10. If you are interested in purchasing one please speak to Josh in the Internet Centre.

The latest magazine titles include Taste, National Geographic kids, Tech life and In style.

The latest kids’ books this week include we are the A scare of a dare by Zack Zombie, Empire of storms by Sarah J Maas, Ash princess by Laura Sebastian, Wonder woman: warbringer by Leigh Bardugo, The last namsara by Kristen Ciccarelli, Six of crows by Leigh Bardugo, When I grow up by Diane Goode, The cloud road by Isobelle Carmody, I am too absolutely small for school by Lauren Child and Attack of the barking spider by Pixel Kid.

Lots of new nonfiction titles are available and they include The uncollected plays of Shaun Micallef, The King’s war by Mark Logue, The land before avocado by Richard Glover, Can you ever forgive me? by Lee Israel, Fossils, The arsonist by Chloe Hooper and 101 marvellous movies you may have missed by David Stratton.

A couple of new talking book titles this week. Davo’s little something by Robert G. Barrett and Five ring circus by Jon Cleary.

Monday 25 February Tech Savvy Seniors class – Introduction to computers. Bookings required. Class held in the Internet Centre 10-12.

Tuesday 26 February Friends of Grenfell Library (FOGL) Monthly meeting. 6.45pm for a 7pm start. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Friday 8 March Friends of Grenfell Library (FOGL) street stall will be held outside IGA.

Saturday 9 March Movie – A star is born. 7.45pm for an 8pm start. Seat bookings via the Library.

Monday 11 March Tech Savvy Seniors class – Introduction to online banking. Bookings required. Class held in the Internet Centre 10-12.
