LIBRARY LINES for week beginning 7 January 2019

Welcome back for 2019. I hope that everyone enjoyed the break and is ready for another year.

This summer the Library is running for the kids a Reading Bingo Challenge. This is for kids who will be attending preschool through to Year 12 in 2019. There are some great prizes to be won. So, pop on into the Library and sign up and grab your pack.

Holiday craft has started. There are multiple sessions of Decorate your own library bag or pencil case. Bookings are required as there are limited places available.

The cinema will be back from Friday with Babe: Pig in the city and Saturday with Danny Deckchair.

The latest fiction titles include The last brother by Andrew Gross, The winter soldier by Daniel Mason, The Children’s house by Alice Nelson, The bus on Thursday by Shirley Barrett, The circle by David Eggers, Normal people by Sally Rooney, Roar by Cecelia Ahern, Bridge of clay by Marcus Zusak, I invited her in by Adele Parks and Green light by Benjamin Stevenson.

There are some great new DVDs available this week and they include Maya the Bee: the honey games, Outlander season 3, Doctor Doctor season 1, Call the Midwife season 7, The Ghan, On Chesil beach, The mercy, A quiet place, Crazy rich Asians and Sweet country.

This week’s new magazine titles include Science Illustrated, Marie Claire, Country Style, Australian Home Beautiful, Real Living, 4×4 Australia, Traces, Australian Geographic, Taste, Tech Life.

Some great new Large Print titles are available this week and they include The bridesmaid’s Royal bodyguard by Liz Fielding, District nurse by Phyllis Mallett, Bitter is the dust by Scott A Gese, To the death by Brent Towns, The brewer’s tale by Karen Brooks, Crepe factor and Gilt trip by Laura Child, As time goes by by Mary Higgins Clark, The snow child by Eowyn Ivey and The quiet side of passion by Alexander McCall Smith.

Friday 11 January 10am for a 10.15am start. Babe: Pig in the city will be shown in the Cinema. So, bring your bean bags or cushions and enjoy a free movie. FOGL will be hosting the Candy bar.

Friday 11 January 3 – 4pm Decorate your own pencil case. Bookings required as limited places. $3 per child. For kids aged 5 and over.

Saturday 12 January 7.45pm for an 8pm start. Danny Deckchair will be shown in the Cinema. So, bring your bean bags or cushions and enjoy a free movie. FOGL will be hosting the Candy bar.
