LIBRARY LINES for week beginning 21 May 2018

Library Week is this week, and we will be hosting National Simultaneous Storytime on Wednesday 23 at 10.45am, the Biggest Morning Tea at 10.30am on Thursday 24 and Board games & Lego at 3pm on Friday 25. So, come on down and check out the Library and the recent changes that have been made to the space.

The competition for the new Library card images is currently underway and closes midday Saturday 2 June 2018. Entries will not be accepted after this date. Entry is free. The images selected will be used as the background to the new library cards and open to all ages. Entries will be divided into Junior (17 and under) and Adult (18+).

The theme is What does Weddin Shire mean to you in an image. The images can be photographic, paint or pencil but using lots of colour. Entries must be submitted on A4 size paper only.

The entries will be displayed in the Library during the Henry Lawson Festival for everyone to vote on their favourites. The Library will be open for voting Friday 8, Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 June between 10am and 4pm. There will be a fee of $5 to enter the Community Hub during the Festival.

The top ten will be presented with prizes and will be presented to a community committee to decide on the final two entries who will be submitted to the card company to use on the new library card.

The announcement of the top ten will be on Tuesday 12 June 2018. Entry forms can either be picked up from the Library or be downloaded from our website: https://grenfellpubliclibrary.org.au/whats-on/

I look forward to seeing what everyone comes up with for the new library card images.
