LIBRARY LINES for week beginning 5 March 2018

Knit, Knatter and Nibble is returning and will be operating between March and October for this year. So, if you knit or crochet why not join us on Wednesday 14 March between 10.30am and 12.30pm. This year’s project is to help make Poppies for the Remembrance Day display in November. Patterns are available for those that are unable to attend but would like to help.

Thank you to everyone who attended the book launch last Thursday 1 March. It was great to see you all supporting Gary with his first book and the library.

For those interested in buying a copy of Gary’s book Death comes calling, they are available for sale at the library, the newsagent and the Grenfell Record office.

New magazines recently received are Better Homes and Gardens, Marie Claire, Australian Patchwork & Quilting, Australian Geographic and Australian Country.

The latest fiction titles include The Mitford murders by Jessica Fellowes, End game by David Baldacci, Murder games by James Patterson, Now we are dead by Stuart MacBride, Skin privilege by Karin Slaughter, Uncommon type by Tom Hanks, Typhoon fury by Clive Cussler, The midnight line by Lee Child and due to the recent passing of author Penny Vincenzi we now have her last book A question of trust available for loan.

Upcoming events to keep in mind are:

Monday 5 March, Introduction to computers. Class will be held in the Internet Centre between 10 and 12. Bookings required and are free.

Friday 9 March, FOGL will be holding a street stall outside IGA.

Wednesday 14 March, Knit, Knatter and Nibble is returning. 10.30 – 12.30.

Friday 16 March, Board Games and Lego in the Library after school 3 – 4.45pm. So, round up some friends and challenge them to a game or two.

Monday 19 March, Introduction to internet part 1. Class will be held in the Internet Centre between 10 and 12. Bookings required and are free.

Tuesday 20 March, FOGL March meeting will be held. 1.45pm for a 2pm start.
