LIBRARY LINES for week beginning 26 February 2018

What a great start to preschool storytime. All the kids and Mums had a great time with Sandra. Our next session will be Wednesday 21 March at 10.30am for kids aged 3 to 5 years old. Siblings are welcomed.

Tomorrow night (Thursday 1 March) the Library is launching the book Death comes calling at 6.45pm for 7pm start. Everyone is welcomed.

Our first computer class is coming up on Monday 5 March for those 65 and over. Bookings are required and a minimum of 8 are required for the class to go ahead. These classes are free and are held in the Internet Centre training room between 10 and 12. If you are interested in learning on how to operate a computer or learn a few new tricks why not book in and join me.

New magazines recently received Science Illustrated, Vogue, Australian Artist, Country Life, NSW Fishing & Boating and Real living.

The latest nonfiction books include Dennis Lillee, Roberta Williams my life, A friend like Henry by Nuala Gardner and Victory at Villers-Bretonneux by Peter Fitzsimons.

And for the kids we have The undercurrent by Paula Weston and Scrambled eggs super! By Dr Seuss.

For the large print titles, we have The last ride by Les Savage Jr and Modoc, the last sundown by L. P. Holmes.

The latest fiction titles include Cross the line by James Patterson, The rooster bar by John Grisham, The Christmas stocking and other stories by Katie Fforde and The last hours by Minette Walters plus a large number of new Mills & Boon titles.

Upcoming events to keep in mind are:

Thursday 1 March, the Library will be hosting a book launch for Death comes calling by local author R. G. Anthony. 6.45pm for 7pm start. A light supper will be served afterwards for a gold coin donation.

Friday 2 March, Board Games and Lego in the Library after school 3 – 4.45pm. So, round up some friends and challenge them to a game or two.

Monday 5 March, Introduction to computers. Class will be held in the Internet Centre between 10 and 12. Bookings required and are free.

Friday 9 March, FOGL will be holding a street stall outside IGA.

Friday 16 March, Board Games and Lego in the Library after school 3 – 4.45pm. So, round up some friends and challenge them to a game or two.
