LIBRARY LINES for week beginning 29 January 2018

Thank you to all who participated in the Summer Reading Club for 2017/18. The presentation of certificates and prizes was held on Thursday 25 January with the certificates and prizes presented by Councillor Carly Brown. Thank you to everyone who attended it was great to see so many of you at once in the Library.

Prize winners included Alex and Dylan Moore, Nakarla, Ruby and Ethan Hardy, Marian Amery, Chloe and Lara Amery, Fergus and Kirby Moore, and Andrew and Brett Knight. Thank you to Bolinda Publishing for donating the kids talking books.

For those who were unable to attend your certificates are available for collection at the Library on your next visit.

Also, a big thank you to those who attended the craft sessions during the past couple of weeks. Fun was had by all.

This week’s new magazine titles are a little lite on, but they include Country Style, R.M. Williams Outback and Vogue.

Upcoming events to keep in mind are:

Friday 19 January until Thursday 1 February, the Library will be hosting the May Gibbs traveling exhibition.

Wednesday 14 February, the Library will be celebrating Library Lovers Day.  More details to come.

Thursday 1 March, the Library will be hosting a book launch for Death comes calling by local author R. G. Anthony. More details to come.

Friday 2 March, Board Games and Lego in the Library after school 3 – 4.45pm. So, round up some friends and challenge them to a game or two.

Friday 9 March, The Friends of the Library will be hosting a street stall outside IGA so come on down and support the Friends.
